Rebuild
By Shane Philip, Senior Pastor

Rebuild:
     1. to repair, to dismantle and reassemble
        with new parts.
     2. to replace, revise, reshape; to build again

Have you ever had to rebuild something? A house…a car…a computer? How about your life? There are a lot of people who look at where their life is, and they know it is time to rebuild, but they don’t know where to start.

Beginning Sunday, September 7th, we are beginning a new series called, “rebuild”, as we look at the life of Nehemiah in the Old Testament. Israel was conquered and destroyed, and years later Nehemiah comes to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, and begins the rebuilding process. The only problem is it was not easy: He faced opposition, discouragement, complaining, distractions, and a tendency to leave God out. Sound familiar? Those are the same things that most of us face when it comes to rebuilding something in our life.

One of the things that we are convinced of at The Crossing, is that when we study God’s word he does amazing things to transform us to be like Jesus. So we decided to make the focus of our church these next 6 weeks to know him more and at a deeper level. This is going to be a “FOCUSED” series, where we want to challenge you to make 4 commitments during this all-church series.
